Meet Dr. McGuire
Our office provides compassionate and gentle endodontic care

Dr. McGuire is a Board-Certified Diplomate of The American Board of Endodontics.  He received his Doctor or Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in June of 1999. He was indoctrinated into the U.S. Navy Dental Corps from June-August 1999 in Newport, RI.  From there he served and trained in an advanced education in general dentistry residency program (AEGD) at the Naval Dental Center San Diego.  He then served 3 years as a Navy Dentist with the 7th Marines in 29 Palms, California. He made application to endodontic programs around the country and was accepted into Indiana University's School of Dentistry Department of Endodontics's prestigious program.  He was one of two residents from over a thousand applicants.  At IU he received his American Dental Association (ADA) specialist's certificate in Endodontics and Masters of Science in Dentistry (MSD). He obtained diplomate status with the American Board of Endodontics (ABE) in March of 2018.  A status held by less than 20% of endodontists nationwide.  Obtaining diplomate status of the American Board of Endodontics includes a written exam (current/classic literature), case portfolio with proper complexity, and oral examination. He's the founder of Central Endodontic Specialists in Austin, Texas and has been in private practice here since January 2006.  He enjoys attending annual endodontic board reviews for diplomates, TDO (The Digital Office) for endo, and American Association of Endodontist (AAE) meetings.  He's continually reading both classic and current endodontic literature to stay on his "A" game.  At the office, he prides himself in his experienced/comforting team, building/space, modern equipment for proper patient access/care, comfort, diagnosis, endodontic treatment, and post-operative care. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his daughter, his referrals, exercising, and spending time with friends. His latest continuing education includes the 9th and 10th annual American Board of Endo's Scientific Board Review courses at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and University of Maryland-Baltimore, respectively.
